As always I like to keep my faithful readers up to date with my latest clean romance novels and following the launch of Sweet Redemption, which was the second in the Bluff Bay series set on the East coast in a fictitious town in Maine, my next love story is different in several ways.
First, it is set on a ranch in Texas in a small farming community, so a very different setting from the coastal romances of Bluff Bay. Second, the chapters in the novel are much shorter and set as scenes as the plot moves along as I felt this suited the action and dialogue better in this case. But what has not changed is my writing style or indeed the tenses. I love writing in the first person present tense and from the feedback I have received my loyal readers love this style too. The reason I believe is that it provides that intimacy which is not something an author can create writing in the third person. The feelings and emotions can be described through the eyes of the hero or heroine and as a result, portrays the intimacy which I believe is an integral part of the romantic story as we follow the couple on the bumpy road to what we hope is a happy ever after ending!
So in reading Finding Our Forever, you will find nothing has changed other than the number of chapters as we follow Beau, the grumpy rancher in the midst of a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife over his beloved daughter Avery, and Dana, the new school teacher in town and recently widowed. Taking up lodgings with Beau was certain to set the tongues wagging and so it proves in this quaint town with some inevitable outcomes.
